VID Receives National Award for Financial Reporting (September 17, 2015)
The Vista Irrigation District has just been presented with the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for its comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR) for the 2014 fiscal year. This certificate is the only national award for public sector financial reporting.
The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government agency and its management team.
The Vista Irrigation District’s CAFR has been judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program including demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate the district’s financial story and motivate customers and user groups to read the CAFR.
Vista Irrigation District is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and
channels of communication to all members of the public. As part of this commitment, Vista Irrigation District
has a policy of providing an accessible website compatible with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) and
commercial screen reading software. All features of the website are coded to allow individuals with vision and
other impairments to understand and use the website to the same degree as someone without disabilities. We welcome
