The San Diego Chapter of the California Special Districts Asscoaition (CSDA) is conducting a high-school video contest to award scholarships to students in the San Diego region. Prizes for the San Diego contest will be $1,500 for 1st place, $1,000 for 2nd place, and $500 for 3rd place.

CSDA has expanded the original California student video contest across the U.S. High school students are invited to create a fun and informative short video (60 seconds max) highlighting the ways special districts ‘Make the Difference’ in local communities across the US for a chance to win a scholarship. Students from California who submit videos to the national contest are still encouraged to also submit their same videos to the San Diego contest as applicable.  The national contest will present $2,000 for 1st place, $1,000 for 2nd place, and $500 for 3rd place.

Additional prize money will be given to the teachers of the winning students to promote technology and support distance learning.
