Vista Irrigation District ("District") invites and will receive sealed bids only at the office of the District, located at 1391 Engineer Street, Vista, California 92081, until 2:00 p.m., local time, on the 2nd day of March 2023, and then will be publicly opened and read aloud for the construction of the DEODAR RESERVOIR REHABILITATION PROJECT, which includes the following:

The work generally consists of replacement of the existing reservoir roof with an aluminum dome roof for a 1.3 MG circular pre-stressed concrete water reservoir, new paving, new retaining wall, fencing, valve replacement, and other site civil and mechanical improvements. Engineer’s Opinion of Probable Costs: hereby considered to be $2,900,000.

Contractor shall submit with their bid an informational submittal designating the Contractor’s chosen aluminum roof dome manufacturer. Additional information required for the informational dome submittal during bidding can be found in the Special Provisions.

Pre-bid Conference and Job Walk-Through: Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at 10:00 a.m., has been designated as a time for Contractors and their subcontractors to have a mandatory pre-bid conference and job walk-through at 947 Deodar Road, San Marcos, CA 92069. Prospective bidders are invited to present any relevant questions at the pre-bid conference, but insofar as practicable, questions should be prepared in written form and mailed, emailed, or faxed to the District so as to arrive no later than three (3) calendar days prior to the pre-bid conference.

All questions relative to this construction project prior to the opening of bids should be directed in writing to the District at the above address, to the attention of Greg Keppler, P.E., Engineering Project Manager, or emailed to gkeppler@vidwater.org. Questions shall be received no later than Thursday, February 16, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. in order to be considered.
