2026 Vista Irrigation District Scholarship Contest

Graduates joyfully throwing their caps into the air, celebrating their achievement outdoors under a clear blue sky.

Vista Irrigation District invites local high school seniors to compete for scholarships from the district.  Up to six scholarships may be awarded in amounts ranging from $1,000 to $3,000. The purpose of the scholarship program is to encourage students to learn more about how water related issues influence our daily lives.

Students who compete for a scholarship must complete an essay and provide a personal statement related to their background and/or goals.  Selection criteria also includes community involvement or volunteer service and a letter of recommendation from high school faculty.

Students may download an application package from www.vidwater.org, or contact Brent Reyes at (760) 597-3107 or by email at scholarships@vidwater.org to have the materials sent to them.  Applications are also available through high school counseling offices.  Applications must be received via e-mail or at the district office by 4:00 PM on Friday, February 20, 2026.  Only students that live within the Vista Irrigation District’s service area are eligible to compete for a scholarship.
