Vista Irrigation District's solar power system, which uses solar panels and inverters to convert sunlight to electricity, is installed on the roof of two buildings at the District’s headquarters located at 1391 Engineer Street in Vista. The solar power system, which began generating power in 2011, can produce 400,000 kilowatt hours of renewable energy annually.
